SECURITY ALARM MONITORING MIGRATION INFORMATION

We hope you have heard the exciting news that United Central Control (UCC) has acquired the contract monitoring of Security Alarm Monitoring, Inc. and that an upgrade of your monitoring will occur in the coming months. Since the acquisition on September 26, 2023, we have sent email notices and made phone calls to each Security Alarm Monitoring dealer. This letter is a further effort to ensure you stay informed about the upgrade process every step of the way. To that end, we have also setup the following web page:

There, you will find a copy of the email notifications announcing the acquisition. We have also included a contact form to request information, or you can email dealersupport@teamucc.com with any questions. New information will be posted on this page as it becomes available, and notifications will be sent by email.

United Central Control (UCC) and Security Alarm Monitoring are working together to migrate your data and subscriber monitoring from Bold Manitou to UCC’s state of the art monitoring platform “Stages”. We are meticulously processing your data for migration accuracy and we anticipate your data will be uploaded into Stages next weekfor review.

Telephone numbers for analog phones lines have been submitted to carriers for transition to UCC. We are awaiting confirmation. We are working closely with the Security Alarm Monitoring IT team to begin setup of the needed infrastructure to transition IP traffic.

Along with the upgrade of your monitoring to UCC’s network of UL listed sites, you will also have unlimited access to stages web platform for management of your accounts and reporting. Stages web is intuitive, easy to use, and powerful. We host stages training webinars every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 10:30am. Links to register can be found on your dedicated migration page or at www.teamucc.com/events.

After you attend a training webinar, UCC will issue a login to each attendee from your company. UL requires all employees who will use stages attend a training webinar before we are able to issue their login so please make sure to attend one as soon as possible.

RECENT MIGRATION UPDATES

UCC has issued brand new dealer ID (or Dealer Number) for both our billing and stages systems. The dealer number will be provided to you along with your dealer information by the end of this week for your review.

To avoid conflicts with existing Receiver prefixes already in use at UCC, ALL receiver prefixes are changing. ONLY the receiver prefix is changing, NOT the last 4+ account digits. Therefore, you should not have to reprogram accounts as a result of changing receiver numbers.

  • Rest assured, this should not affect the receiver phone numbers or IP addresses you use today. If there is an exception, we will contact you.
  • We will provide a conversion list of old and new receiver prefixes. 

BILLING  UPDATES

Your rates from Security Alarm Monitoring will remain the same at UCC, however the billing cycles and look and feel of the invoices will change.

  • New invoices will be processed within 30-60 days of the migration.
  • A sample of the new invoice format is posted on the migration page HERE.

Previously, you were billed on the 1st of the month for the current month’s services, or in some cases annual billing in advance.

For Dealers who were invoiced on a monthly basis for all accounts each month, UCC will invoice all accounts on the 20th of the month in advance for the upcoming month’s services.

Pre-paid amounts (if any) will be allocated to your AR account as a credit and will be applied against any monthly invoices generated by UCC on a monthly basis until the credit has been utilized.

  • The first UCC billing cycle will be effective with the November 15thinvoice for December monitoring serv  Please note that you may also receive a final invoice from Security Alarm Monitoring for certain services.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Electronic Detailed Billing: UCC provides account by account details of your fees. These are sent via email monthly no later than the 22nd of each month. Please download and review our information on “Understanding Your Invoice” from the main migration page.

  • Useful Tip #1:All detailed invoices are emailed in PDF and Spreadsheet formats.
  • Useful Tip #2:If you have multiple dealer numbers linked to a Master Dealer, and would like the flexibility to view all details under one master dealer, we can accommodate this. Please contact the Billing Department to assist you.

PAYMENT REMITTANCE:

Please ensure that your Accounts Payable is updated with the following address information for payments: UCC Exceptional, PO Box 836, Williamstown, NJ 08094.
