SECURITY ALARM MONITORING MIGRATION INFORMATION

We are pleased to announce that Lydia Security Monitoring, Inc., dba: United Central Control (UCC) has recently purchased wholesale monitoring assets of Security Alarm Monitoring, Inc. We are extremely excited about welcoming you to the United Central Control (UCC) family and look forward to contributing to your success by delivering exceptional service and a stable foundation on which you can continue to grow your business.

In the short term, your accounts will remain at Security Alarm Monitoring as we prepare for the upgrade of your monitoring services to our monitoring platform Stages – where your customers will ultimately be monitored by our existing network of UL listed, Five Diamond monitoring stations located in San Antonio and Lewisville Texas. 

The process is scheduled to conclude by the end of October and will involve meticulous planning and data verification so that the upgrade can be executed with minimal interruptions in service.

Please rest assured that we will communicate with you weekly during this process. We have included a point of contact in this notification so you can obtain the information you need and the peace of mind you deserve throughout this migration.

While you will still enjoy the features and benefits you have become accustomed to at Security Alarm Monitoring, the upgrade to UCC will bring many benefits to you and your customers. Here are some highlights:

  • Leading Dealer Access – You will have complimentary access to our stages web dealer portal, which is loaded with useful tools to help you run your business from anywhere, anytime.
  • Our monitoring platform Stages, Stages web Dealer & Subscriber access, private labeled answering service, and other “behind the scenes” critical infrastructure and technical enhancements open doors to new products, tools, and services to help you run your business and improve your bottom line. IMPORTANT UPDATES

  1. Next week, UCC will issue you a brand new dealer ID (or Dealer Number) for both our billing and stages systems. The dealer number will be provided to you in a separate communication this week, or you can request your new dealer number by emailing dealersupport@teamucc.com.
  2. Stages training webinars are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am.
    • Webinars are quick, at most 30 minutes.
    • Links to register to attend the webinars are posted on the migration page; teamucc.com/SAM
    • All employees who need access to Stages Web MUST ATTEND a training webinar before issue credentials.
    • After you attend a Stages Web training webinar, you will receive access to UCC’s Stages Web Portal.
    • We will email your information to set up your user access.
    • Recorded overviews of Stages web will be available and links placed on the migration page.
    • Individual training can be scheduled by emailing dealersupport@teamucc.com.
    • Subscriber Access is also available. More information to follow.
  3. To avoid conflicts with pre-existing Receiver prefixes already in use at UCC, ALL receiver prefixes will be changing. ONLY the receiver prefix is changing, NOT the last 4+ account digits.  Therefore, you will not have to reprogram accounts as a result of changing receiver numbers.
    • Rest assured, this will not affect the receiver phone numbers or IP addresses you use today (if there is an exception, we will contact you).
    • We will provide a list of affected accounts that will include the old prefix/account, the new prefix/account, and the subscriber name.
  4. Your rates will remain the same, but the cycles and look and feel of the invoices will change.
    • New invoices will be processed after migration is complete on November 15, 2023.
    • A sample of the new invoice format and billing cycles will be emailed to you and posted on the migration page.

  1. Can you summarize what will happen?
    • Your monitoring services, along with Electronic Security Corp of America’s monitoring will eventually be provided by UCC, on our Stages platform from our redundant network of monitoring centers.
    • Your accounts will be monitored by Security Alarm Monitoring’s monitoring center for the next few weeks until they are migrated to UCC.
  2. When will this happen?
    • The upgrade to the UCC Stages platform will occur over the next few weeks and will be completed by the end of October at the latest.
  3. What do I need to do?
    • We will contact you to review the process in detail in couple of weeks and send you important updates and notifications each week.
    • Make sure all of your staff that needs access to these notifications signs up to be on the mailing list at teamucc.com/SAM
  1. Will my pricing automatically change with this migration?
    • There are no plans to increase your current rates.
